The DH.94 Moth Minor Coupe 1:72 from Special Hobby — a short-run injection-molded plastic kit of the British light sport and touring aircraft with an enclosed cabin.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British light aircraft de Havilland DH.94 Moth Minor in 1:72 scale from Special Hobby. This is the Coupe form with an enclosed glazed cabin. The kit is of the short-run type (small-batch injection-molded plastic), which is intended rather for more experienced modelers and calls for more careful cleaning up and seating of the parts.
The de Havilland DH.94 Moth Minor was a British two-seat light sport and touring aircraft of the late 1930s. It was a cantilever low-wing monoplane powered by an inline de Havilland Gipsy Minor engine. It was created as a simple and inexpensive machine for sport flying, touring and training. The Coupe version differed from the open form in its enclosed glazed cabin, which gave the crew comfort while traveling in poor weather.
With a short-run kit, reckon on more sensitive cleaning up of the parts — sand the molding edges back, check the fit and lightly fill any joints. Glue the parts with thin liquid cement for plastic and the small and clear parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Mask the glazed cabin of the Coupe version carefully before painting. Apply a primer and spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats; a delicate airframe benefits from discreet panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
