Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Hasegawa captures the supersonic Lockheed F-104 Starfighter fighter. The box offers markings for two versions - the Japanese F-104J (Japan Air Self-Defense Force, JASDF) and the Canadian CF-104. The model has finely engraved panel lines and a well-detailed cockpit. The exact part count and number of decal schemes are stated by the manufacturer on the box.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was a slender supersonic fighter with short, sharply clipped wings, nicknamed the missile with a man in it. It was powered by a potent General Electric J79 turbojet. The F-104J version served with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force as an interceptor, while the CF-104 flew with the Royal Canadian Air Force mainly in the strike and reconnaissance role. The type was built and operated in many NATO countries and beyond.
Separate the parts with a cutter and glue them with a thin cement for plastic. Apply primer before painting. The natural metal finish of the Japanese aircraft comes out best with metallic paints or Alclad shades, while Canadian camouflage is best laid on with an airbrush in thin coats. The thin wings and tips need careful cleanup of the parting seams.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
