Exhaust nozzles for the F-111 A/D/E/F in 1:72 scale are an accessory produced by 3D printing technology, intended according to the packaging for Fujimi and Hobby 2000 kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detailing accessory for a model of an aircraft, not a kit. The set replaces the engine exhaust nozzles on the combat aircraft General Dynamics F-111 in the A, D, E and F versions and is produced by 3D printing technology, which allows thinner walls and a deeper rendering of the inside of the nozzle than injected plastic can manage. The packaging states the target kits: they are Fujimi and Hobby 2000 models in 1:72 scale. The set is tailored to these kits; the manufacturer does not promise a fit on another model. Hobby 2000 is a Polish brand based in Katowice.
The F-111 was a twin-engine combat aircraft with variable wing geometry, in service from the second half of the 1960s. It is precisely the pair of engines in the rear of the fuselage that gives the rear its characteristic shape, so the nozzles are clearly visible on the finished model and rank among the most closely watched details. The individual versions differed in the rear section, which is why the set covers several variants.
First wash the 3D printed parts in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the remnants of the supports. Sanding has to be done with breathing protection; resin dust is not to be inhaled. They are glued with cyanoacrylate; ordinary plastic cement will not bond these parts. A primer is mandatory. The inside of the nozzle looks best in metallic shades with dark sooting toward the trailing edge.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The basic kit, glue and paints are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
