An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet F-22 divisional gun of 76.2 mm caliber in 1:72 scale from Military Wheels. This is a model of a towed weapon, not of a vehicle or an aircraft. Check the contents of the package on the box.
F-22 is the factory designation of the Soviet divisional gun introduced in 1936. It was created as a so-called universal weapon that was to handle the artillery support of a division and at the same time serve against aircraft; that double task did not work out well in practice and the gun was later replaced by simpler types. The fighting of 1941 gave it a second life. The German army captured large numbers of these weapons and, after rebuilding them, took them into service as the PaK 36(r) anti-tank gun; in this form they also went onto self-propelled chassis. For its time the weapon had a long barrel and good penetration, so a stopgap turned into a feared opponent.
The carriage, the shield and the wheels are small parts, so have tweezers and a fine-tipped glue ready. Separate the parts with a sharp knife or a saw, not by twisting them. Paint the weapon broken down into subassemblies and glue it together only at the end. An airbrush will handle Soviet protective green as well as German gray or dark yellow; pick out the metal edges with light chipping and put dust on the wheels and the underside of the carriage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
