Clear Prop Models 1:72 F-35A Wheel Set from Clear Prop Models is a set of resin, 3D printed replacement wheels for the F-35A Lightning II fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a detail accessory with which you replace the plastic wheels from the box with more faithful castings. The wheels carry a finely rendered tire tread pattern and hub detail that production plastic usually cannot capture so sharply.
The set replaces the wheels of the basic F-35A kit in 1:72. They tend to be done as weighted wheels with a flattening where they meet the ground, so that once stood up the model looks as if it really rested on its landing gear under its own weight. The wheels are designed for a matching F-35A kit in this scale.
First wash the resin and 3D printed parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove any uncured print resin residue. Cut the support blocks and the print supports off carefully and clean the surfaces up. Glue them with a super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding. Apply a primer before painting; the tires then come out well in a matte dark gray with the tread pattern subtly brought out.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. A separate F-35A kit in 1:72 scale is needed to use it. The glue, the paints and the kit are not included in the package.
