German crew for the Panzerjager I 1:72 (First to Fight) A set of figures of a German crew for the Panzerjager I tank destroyer in 1:72 scale. Supplied unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures of a German crew intended for a model of the Panzerjager I tank destroyer in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand First to Fight. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory with characters that bring the vehicle to life and give it its scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and paints and glue are not included in the package. The manufacturer states neither the number of figures nor the material for this item.
The Panzerjager I was the first German series-built tank destroyer. It came about simply: on the chassis of the Panzer I light tank, in place of the turret, sat a 4.7 cm anti-tank gun of Czechoslovak design, protected only by an open shield. The crew therefore worked almost in the open, which makes them an important part of the scene on a model. The vehicles saw action in France, in North Africa and on the Eastern Front.
Figures in 1:72 scale will take only thin coats of paint. Separate them carefully, sand off the casting remains and lay down a thin base. Paint the uniforms from a dark base toward the light edges; a dark wash will bring out the folds and a dry brush the raised areas. For the faces a flesh color, a darker shade in the eye sockets and a dot for the eye are enough. Paint the figures before you place them on the vehicle, because in an open fighting compartment a brush can no longer reach them.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
