An injection-molded plastic kit of the German medium bomber Heinkel He-111 H-6 in 1:72 scale from Airfix. This new tooling with a finely engraved surface offers a richly glazed nose, clear parts for the gun positions and decals for several options.
The He-111 was one of the best-known German bombers of the Second World War. Its characteristic feature was the fully glazed asymmetric nose, which gave the crew an excellent view. The H-6 version was one of the most widespread; it was powered by liquid-cooled inverted V12 Jumo 211 engines and, besides conventional bombing, it could also carry torpedoes for attacks on shipping. It was used on every European front from the beginning of the war and became one of the symbols of the German bomber force.
The extensive nose glazing is the visual centerpiece of the model — it pays to paint and fit the cockpit interior before you close the fuselage and to mask the clear parts frame by frame. Liquid cement for plastic will give clean joints. Apply the upper camouflage with an airbrush, bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and liven the surfaces up with restrained dusting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
