According to the name, the set from Clear Prop Models covers three single-seat versions of the Jaguar ground-attack aircraft at once, the French A and the British GR.1 and GR.3, and in 1:72 size. In this scale the cockpit is small and the canopy frames narrow, so masking by hand is not only tedious but above all imprecise. Pre-cut masks for the Italeri, Revell and Tamiya kits remove that problem.
The Jaguar came about as a joint British and French project, originally for training, but the result was a tough ground-attack aircraft with a high wing and a pair of engines set close side by side in the rear. The French Air Force brought it into service under the designation A, the British in the GR.1 version, from which the GR.3 arose through gradual upgrading. The machine proved itself in operations in the Persian Gulf and in Africa and in Britain it stayed in service until the middle of the first decade of this century. The British and French examples differed from one another in their equipment, but the shape of the canopy stayed common to the single-seat versions.
In 1:72 scale the key is not to overdo the thickness of the spray, otherwise the frames visually widen. Spray perpendicular and briefly. The camouflages of ground-attack aircraft tend to have crisp transitions, which the same technique can manage on the fuselage too. Take the masks off as soon as the paint loses the sheen of wetness.
