A small replacement part for building the American tiltrotor Bell Boeing MV-22 Osprey in 1:72 scale. The set replaces the windshield wipers, which in a plastic kit tend to be too thick or missing altogether. The box states the Osprey from Hasegawa as the target kit. The QuickBoost brand belongs to the Czech maker Aires Hobby Models.
The MV-22 Osprey is a machine with tilting engine nacelles: it takes off and lands like a helicopter and flies like a turboprop. The US Marine Corps brought it into service in 2007 and uses it to carry troops and materiel over distances that were out of reach for conventional helicopters. Characteristic features are the folding rotor system and the folding wings, so that the machine fits on a deck.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water before gluing, so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutting disc, never with sprue nippers, which will break resin up. Sand the mating surface flat and glue the part with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy, because cement for plastic will not hold here. When sanding resin, use a respirator or sand wet, as the dust is not good to breathe.
This is an add-on for a model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
