Panzerstahl Exclusive 89008 Object 704 is a finished resin 1:72 collector's model of a Soviet heavy tank destroyer, a limited series with a numbered card.
Responsibility details are not available.
This piece belongs to the premium Panzerstahl Exclusive line and differs from the manufacturer's standard range in its material already: the model is cast in resin so that it can carry finer detail, and its gun barrel is turned from metal. It is supplied finished, accurately painted and with markings, including the separately rendered machine gun on the roof. A display case box and a collector's card with the production number stamped on it are included; the series was limited to one thousand pieces. Nothing is built and nothing is painted.
Object 704 was a Soviet prototype of a heavy tank destroyer from 1945, built at the plant in Chelyabinsk on the chassis of the IS-2 heavy tank. Compared with the production ISU-152 it had an entirely new, markedly sloped and low superstructure with armor substantially thicker than on its predecessor. It carried a 152 mm howitzer gun, but it was precisely the combination of that gun with the low and cramped fighting compartment that gave the crew trouble: loading was slow and the elevation range limited. The vehicle did not reach series production and it remained at the single example built.
The model is finished and painted; it is not a kit. The display case box and the collector's card are included in the package, other accessories are not, unless stated otherwise.
