Bronco 1:72 J-20 Mighty Dragon is a plastic kit of a Chinese fifth-generation combat aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a Chinese fifth-generation combat aircraft in 1:72 scale, in a box devoted to the People's Liberation Army Air Force. The manufacturer states neither the number of parts nor the number of marking options. It is a type that appeared in the modeling range fairly soon after it was unveiled, so some details on later machines may differ from the model.
The Chengdu J-20 is a Chinese twin-engined combat aircraft designed with a view to reducing radar reflectivity. It has a delta wing complemented by foreplanes, a markedly angular fuselage shape, and it carries its weapons in internal bays, so that no reflections arise from external stations. It entered service in the second half of the last decade and has gone through revisions, among them to the engine installation. Publicly available data on its capabilities is limited, so it pays to treat technical descriptions with reserve.
A present-day aircraft with reduced reflectivity stands on a smooth flat surface, so fill the joints, sand them back and spray on primer. Set the gray shades off only slightly, as the real finish is low in contrast; do not pick out the panel lines in black, but in dark gray. Finish the cockpit and the engine intakes before you close the fuselage up, and glue the glazing on only after painting. If you build the model with the weapons bays open, bear in mind that the inside of the bays will be visible.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
