The Czech brand Attack Hobby Kits specializes in uncommon subjects in 1:72 scale; according to the supplier this is a variant of their boxing of the same vehicle with new resin parts added for the generator itself, while the rest of the kit is plastic. It is a short-run kit, so it is one rather for the experienced.
The Tatra 27b is a Czechoslovak truck built in the 1930s and 1940s, which was among the most widespread commercial vehicles of its day. Wood gas generators were fitted during the Second World War because of the shortage of fuel: wood was burned incompletely in an upright vessel and the resulting gas was cleaned and fed to the engine. The power of the vehicle dropped as a result and the crew had to keep stoking and cleaning the generator, yet it was the only way to keep transport running.
Wash the resin parts first and cut them off the casting blocks; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), while the rest of the kit takes an ordinary cement for plastic. Always try short-run parts dry and allow for filling. Finish the chassis and the cab first, and only then the generator, which attaches to the side. After the base shade give the vehicle a wash and dust; on a wood gas vehicle, traces of ash and scorched metal belong around the generator.
