To replace one, strip the gun according to the manufacturer's instructions, take the old ring off carefully and clean the seating surface. Fit the new ring without stretching it and without oiling it unless the manufacturer recommends that, because an unsuitable lubricant makes the material swell. O-rings in general do not tolerate aggressive solvents, so when cleaning the gun choose a product intended for the kind of paint you use.
