Green Stuff World airbrush masking putty is a pliable paste with which you can cover even shapes that tape will not stick to.
Responsibility details are not available.
A pliable masking putty meant for covering areas while spraying with an airbrush. It behaves like soft modeling clay: you pinch a piece off, roll it out and press it onto the place that is to stay unpainted. After spraying you simply peel it off. It solves exactly those situations where masking tape fails, that is rounded, broken and convex shapes.
It is typically used to cover wheels and tires, canopies and clear parts of complex shape, the pillars of glazing frames, or to create an irregular camouflage edge. It also serves as a base for a soft transition: you lay the putty as a roll along the boundary and the sprayed paint fades away softly behind it.
The surface must be clean and degreased, otherwise the putty will not hold. Press it down evenly all along the edge, because that is where the paint creeps under. Spray in thin layers and remove the putty soon after the paint has dried, while the finish is still slightly flexible. Put any leftover putty back into its container, so that it does not dry out. On fresh or insufficiently dried paint, test first whether it peels off with the putty.
Keep it in a closed container, so that the putty does not dry out. Before using it on delicate paint, test it in a hidden place.
