A replacement rear handle for the Gaahleri Aventus airbrush in the titanium silver Titanium Silver version, manufacturer's part number 47415. This is a single part of the tool, not an airbrush.

What the handle does

The handle screws onto the rear of the body. It closes off the rear end of the needle and the spring assembly, and it is held while spraying. Because it is unscrewed and refitted every time the tool is cleaned, it is one of the most handled parts of the whole airbrush, and the first to show a dented edge or a damaged thread after a drop onto a tiled floor. The Aventus body is produced by machining from a single block of aluminum and is given an anodized finish; the manufacturer conceived it as a three-piece modular body whose individual module colors can be combined to your own taste.

What to watch when choosing

• The silver version suits the other metal parts of the tool, for example the needle chucking nut in the silver variant.
• The color has no effect at all on how the tool runs or sprays; it is a choice of looks.
• The Aventus came in several generations, so compare the version with your own tool.
