Aventus Silver Spring Case

Spring case, silver, for the Gaahleri Aventus

A replacement needle return spring case for the Gaahleri Aventus airbrush, in the silver version. The manufacturer lists it under the name Aventus Silver Spring Case as a separate part for this Ace Series model. This is not an airbrush, nor a set of rear mechanism parts, but a single spring case.

What the spring case does

The case screws into the rear of the body and encloses the needle return spring. The spring pushes the needle forward as soon as you release the main lever, so how readily the airbrush shuts off the paint depends on it. According to the manufacturer's instructions the preset fluid control knob screws into the case as well, and when stripping down, the case is the first of the whole rear group to be released.

Fitting and maintenance

• The order given by the manufacturer's instructions: spring, spring case, preset knob.
• Tighten it with your fingers; an overtightened case strains the fine thread in the body.
• If the needle does not return forward, check both the spring and the cleanliness of the case.
• Clear dried paint off the thread with a cleaner before you put the case back.

Who the part is for

• Aventus owners with a damaged thread or a lost spring case.
• Modelers who want to fine-tune the look of the rear of the airbrush.
• Anyone dealing with a sluggish return of the needle to the closed position.

Watch the version: the manufacturer lists the spring case for the Aventus in a silver and in a gold color. This is the silver version; the gold case is a different item, and if the look matters to you, compare the color with the part you are replacing. This is a spare part for an airbrush, not an airbrush. The airbrush, paints and thinner are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
