Responsibility details are not available.
A monograph on the British twin-engine Avro Anson, written by Alan W. Hall and published by Warpaint Books, Warpaint series, volume 53. It is a publication, not a kit. The language is English, and the volumes of the Warpaint series come out as softcover books in A4 format. The scope of the book covers the whole family of the type, from the first Mk.I version to the last production designations with the number 22.
The Anson was created as a coastal reconnaissance aircraft, powered by Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah radial engines, and the first prototype flew in March 1935. As a combat machine it grew obsolete quickly, but as a trainer it became one of the pillars of the joint training program of the British Commonwealth — navigators, radio operators, bombardiers and gunners all learned on Ansons. Production ended only in 1952, and over eleven thousand machines were built in all in Great Britain and in Canada.
For the modeler who is building an Anson and needs to find his way through the many versions, and for readers interested in the training of airmen during the Second World War. The drawings in 1:72 and the color profiles are aimed directly at modeling work. The text is in English, so the technical vocabulary stays in the original.
