Responsibility details are not available.
A monograph on the naval fighter and reconnaissance aircraft BAe Sea Harrier, written by Kev Darling and published by Warpaint Books, Warpaint series, volume 75. It is a publication, not a kit and not an accessory. The language is English, and the volumes of the series come out as softcover books in A4 format. The book covers all versions of the type.
The Sea Harrier was derived from the land-based Harrier and, like it, took off and landed on a short run and vertically as well, thanks to the Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine with swiveling nozzles. Its best known role came in the Falklands War in 1982, when Royal Navy machines shot down twenty Argentine aircraft without a single loss of their own in air combat. The later FA2 version received the Blue Vixen radar and long-range missiles. The Royal Navy retired the type in March 2006, and the Indian Navy flew it until 2016.
For the modeler who is building a Sea Harrier and is looking for a reference for the finish and markings, and for readers interested in the Falklands War and in British naval aviation. The drawings in 1:72 and the profiles are aimed at modeling work. The text is in English, so the vocabulary stays in the original.
