Eight solid brass bars half a millimeter in diameter. The finest size in the whole range is used where a plastic part simply does not exist in a thin enough form: aerials, lightning conductors, instrument rods, struts between the surfaces of a biplane, rigging and small pins inside tiny parts.
Even in this section brass is incomparably stiffer than stretched sprue and, above all, it does not deform with heat. A brass aerial survives even a clumsy grab at the model. The material can be polished to a metallic shine, so some elements need no painting at all.
The set is for builders of aircraft, ships and vehicles who replace soft plastic aerials and struts with metal, and for modelers of small scales, where every plastic detail is too coarse. For load-bearing joints this size is weak; for those reach for the heavier diameters in the range.
Protect your eyes when working with thin metal; a cut-off end flies away very fast and at this diameter you will not find it on the floor again.
