Four bars of thermoplastic molding compound from Green Stuff World. Once warmed in water they become a mold for copying small parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This compound makes it possible to produce a mold in a few minutes and without mixing any chemicals. A bar is dipped into hot water, where according to the manufacturer it softens in roughly three minutes, then it is pressed onto the master and once it has cooled the shape stays imprinted. Into the resulting mold you cast a copy in putty or in resin. The key advantage is that the compound can be used over and over: simply warm it and the shape disappears. The manufacturer states that a set of four bars lasts practically indefinitely and that each bar measures roughly 5.8 x 1.5 x 0.7 cm.
The compound suits modelers who need several copies of the same small part: weapons, shields, buckles, rivets, accessories for bases or elements for conversions. It also comes into its own where a part from a kit has been lost and a replacement has to be made from the one that is left.
Work with hot water carefully and do not heat the compound in a microwave oven unless the manufacturer's instructions say so. Keep out of the reach of children.
