A bench stand for marker pens and pens on the modeling table, from DSPIAE. It holds the tools upright and within reach instead of letting them lie around on the top.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plain but useful piece of bench equipment. Marker pens, lining pens and brushes roll away across the top, fall on the floor and bend their points; in a stand they sit upright, each one is in sight and can be picked up without a search. With marker pens the upright position has one more advantage: which end they stand on matters, because the ink settles downward.
Store marker pens tip down, so that the ink stays at the point; standing tip up they dry out and the first stroke after a break comes out pale. Brushes, by contrast, go bristles up, because a point left resting spreads for good. That is exactly why it pays to keep separate compartments for the two.
The stand does not replace putting the cap back on a marker pen. Even upright the ink will not last if the tip is left in the air. The marker pens, pens and brushes themselves are not included in the package.
It pays to place the stand away from where you spray, so that overspray does not settle on the tips.
It pays to keep order from the start, not only once the bench fills up. A marker pen that has slipped under a part-built model takes a long time to find and is usually found by the fact that it has dried out in the meantime.
The stand is supplied empty, with no contents whatsoever.
