The clear brown shade Mr.Color GX109. It does not cover but tints the surface underneath toward smoke; it is thinned with the thinner of the Mr.Color range, not with water.

GX109 Clear Brown is a clear brown shade of the Mr.Color GX range. It does not cover: the coat applied lets the surface underneath through and only gives it a brown cast. That is precisely why a clear brown is used differently from an ordinary opaque paint, rather as a filter or as a tint over an area that is already finished. The GX range falls under Mr.Color, so it is thinned with the thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio is given in the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
Brown is the most versatile of the clear shades, because it does not shift the surface underneath into a color but only mutes and warms it. The typical uses look like this:
Spray in several very thin coats and let the surface dry between them. The saturation grows with every coat and you will not get it back, so start cautiously and rather add more. The surface underneath must be smooth and glossy, as on a matte surface a clear coat goes hazy. It is thinned with the thinner of the Mr.Color range, and water has no part in it. The thinner of this range is more aggressive than that of water-thinnable paints, so try the combination with a paint from another brand on an offcut of plastic before you let it near the model.
The package contains a single bottle of paint. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
