An airbrush in the dual-action configuration with a nozzle 0.5 mm in diameter. Dual-action control means that the trigger governs the air and the amount of paint separately: pressing it releases the air and pulling it back adds paint. That gives you smooth control over the spray, which on gradients and camouflage is a fundamental difference from simpler airbrushes.
The 0.5 mm diameter is made for working with thicker materials and for covering areas quickly. It suits primers, varnishes, base coats on larger models, bases and terrain. For the finest lines and for shading figures a smaller diameter is better, because the spray pattern here is wider.
Thin the paint to the consistency of milk and choose the pressure to suit the material; thicker finishes need more. After every session, strip the airbrush down and clean the needle and the nozzle, because dried paint is the commonest cause of spitting and an uneven spray. Always draw the needle out backward, never forward through the nozzle. Do not leave the seals soaking in an aggressive cleaner.
The compressor, the hose and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
