A pair of filter elements for the DSPIAE handheld cordless vacuum cleaner. A small vacuum is used at the modeling bench to clear offcuts, sanding dust and filings off parts and the working surface, that is for work in which the filter clogs far faster than in ordinary cleaning. Once the airflow drops, the vacuum loses its suction even on a fully charged battery.
The second element makes it possible to fit a clean filter at once and meanwhile clean the clogged one at leisure and let it dry out thoroughly. With a handheld vacuum used on and off throughout a build, that is considerably more practical than waiting for one single filter.
The replacement is for owners of the DSPIAE handheld cordless vacuum cleaner. The vacuum itself is not included in the package. It pays to keep elements in reserve, because they clog fast when sanding and without a working filter the vacuum merely blows the dust about.
A vacuum at the modeling bench also comes in handy for collecting cut-off sprue gates and small parts that fall. It is precisely during that work, though, that coarse pieces get into the element and block it faster than dust alone. Put a respirator on when changing a clogged filter; the dust it releases is the finest fraction of the whole sanding process.
