Magnifying glasses with a light for working with tiny parts. Your hands stay free and the work spot is lit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Magnifying glasses rounded out by an LED light, intended for working with tiny parts. They are not modeling parts and not paint, but an aid that decides how long you can keep going at the bench. Unlike a magnifier held in the hand or on a stand, you leave both hands free and the light points exactly where you are looking.
They will be appreciated by anyone who finds fine work becoming unpleasant, whether because of age or simply because parts in a small scale really are minute. The light also solves a problem that plenty of modelers notice only late: a desk lamp shines from above and while working you shade exactly the spot you need to see.
Just as important as the magnification is the distance you can work at. Try first how far away you have to hold your hands for the image to be sharp, and set the height of the table and the chair accordingly. A comfortable position for the back and the elbows often does more for the result in fine work than the best tool. The light is welcome when checking finished work too, because tiny flaws are much easier to find.
Take breaks while working, because longer use of magnification tires the eyes. Do not leave the glasses in direct sunlight and clean the lenses with a soft cloth and no thinners, which could damage them.
