Replacement needle guide packing from Gaahleri, part number 42809, intended for the GHAD-39 and GHAC-98D airbrushes. It is a tiny seal that closes around the needle where it passes through the body of the airbrush. It belongs among the parts that wear, and there is nothing else in the package.
As long as the seal is seated properly, it will not let paint out of the paint channel and back to the mechanism. Once it hardens or wears, that shows up in the typical symptoms: paint appears in the rear of the body, the trigger becomes stiff or gritty, the spray turns uneven and air bubbles in the cup. At the same time, the same symptoms can be caused by a clogged paint channel, a damaged nozzle or a bent needle, and a new seal will not help with those.

Before buying, compare the designation of your own airbrush with the designation on the package, because the packings differ between airbrush lines and the manufacturer has a part of its own for other models. Tighten the packing by feel; overtightening crushes it and the needle then drags. Clean in a ventilated area.
