An injection-molded plastic kit of a German light tank in 1:72 scale from the Polish brand First to Fight, which releases an extensive range of small models of equipment from the late 1930s and the 1940s with simple part breakdown. The box of this kit states two renditions: the standard tank and the command vehicle Pz.BfWg 38(t).
The 38(t) tank grew out of the Czechoslovak light tank LT vz. 38, which the German army took over and continued to build after the occupation of the Czech lands. The Ausf. G version was the last production variant and received strengthened frontal armor fifty millimeters thick. The command vehicle Pz.BfWg 38(t) could be told apart by its extended radio set and an additional antenna. The chassis of the type later became the basis for self-propelled guns and tank destroyers, so it stayed in production even after the tank version ended.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic; in small scales it pays to apply the cement with the tip of a wire. Paint the tracks and the running gear before you seat them against the hull. German schemes from 1942 rest on a uniform gray or yellow shade; on a model this small a fine wash in the recesses and light dry brushing of the edges is enough. Use pigments very sparingly so that they do not overwhelm the detail.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
