About product

Hataka Blue Line - yellow ocher, 10 ml

An acrylic modeling paint from the Polish maker Hataka, from the Blue Line range, in a yellow ocher shade. The name of the shade is French, which refers to period French color designations. Blue Line is a water-thinned acrylic with a high pigment content, tuned above all for brushing. The bottle holds 10 ml and the paint suits equipment as well as the terrain elements of dioramas.

What the paint is thinned with

It is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner from the same maker, not with lacquer thinner. Do not confuse this range with the lacquer range from the same maker; the chemistry and the thinner are different. For the airbrush thinning is necessary, because the paint is deliberately thick. Yellow and ocher shades are among those with the lowest covering power, so apply them over a light base and build them up in several thin coats.

Use

  • Stir the paint thoroughly before taking any out, as the pigment settles to the bottom.
  • Apply over a light base; on a dark surface the shade goes dark.
  • For the airbrush, thin with water or with acrylic thinner from the same maker.
  • Yellow ocher can also be used as a base under dust effects.

Who it is for

For modelers who paint with a brush and need an ocher tone for equipment and for terrain. It comes into its own on camouflage as well as on the parched areas of dioramas.

Keep out of the reach of children, close the bottle carefully after use, and when spraying ensure ventilation and use respiratory protection.

FAQ

Yellow and ocher pigments generally have low covering power. Apply them over a light base and build them up in several thin coats.

Water or acrylic thinner from the same maker. Lacquer thinner does not belong in it; it is an acrylic.

Yes. An ocher tone is a rewarding base under dust effects and works well on the parched areas of dioramas.
