A pen for running in panel lines with a metal nib, from DSPIAE. The fluid wicks into the engraving on its own and the handle has a triangular cross section.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tool for leading the fluid that accentuates engraved lines into them. The metal nib is dipped, set against the line, and the paint runs into it by capillary action, so it goes exactly where it belongs and nowhere else. The handle has a triangular cross section, which sits more steadily in the fingers than a round one, and it is deliberately very light so that the hand tires less during longer work.
Dip only the very tip of the nib and guide it along the line without pressure. The fluid needs a moment to start running, so a calm stroke works better than a quick one. Wipe the surplus off around the line only once it is dry. Flush the nib after work, otherwise paint dries in the channel and the capillary action stops working.
The nib is a consumable and replacements are sold separately in packs of several. The fluid for accentuating lines is not included in the package; choose it according to the coat you will apply it over, so that it does not dissolve the paint underneath.
The handle is shared with other tools from the same line, so brush tips can be fitted into it as well.
The tool goes well together with the pen for wiping the surplus off. Running in and cleaning up are two steps and each needs a different tip; anyone who tries to do them with one usually smears what had already come out well.
