DSPIAE SPP-01 is a package of twelve polishing pads in the coarse grade. The first step of polishing, which smooths away the marks left by abrasive paper.

Twelve polishing pads in the coarsest version of the whole range. They fit onto a carrier holder clamped into a modeling drill or a grinding pen and are used as the first step of finishing: they smooth away the scratches left behind by abrasive paper and prepare the surface for the medium grade.
Only once sanding is finished, that is when the shape is done. A coarse pad is no longer an abrasive, but it still has a noticeable cutting effect, so it can round an edge you did not want rounded. On intricate parts, therefore, work in short touches and keep checking how much you have taken off.
The refill is for those who already use the pads in this range and have used up the coarse grade. It comes into play most where there is a lot of sanding of filler and joints, that is on conversions, resin parts and older molds.
Store the coarse pads separately from the fine ones. A single coarse grain carried over to the finishing grade will make a scratch you then have to smooth away from the beginning again. Do not breathe in the dust from polishing; work with extraction or at least with a respirator.
