Nippers with an ultra flat cut from Green Stuff World. They separate parts from the sprue so cleanly that a minimum of sanding is left.
Responsibility details are not available.
Modeling nippers with an ultra flat cut, made for separating parts from the sprue. The difference from ordinary nippers is in the profile of the jaws: a flat cut sits close to the part and leaves only a negligible sprue nub, so cleaning up afterward is a matter of a few strokes of sandpaper instead of laborious leveling with a knife.
They are used for separating injection-molded plastic parts from the sprue, for shortening plastic profiles and for cutting thin plastic rod. They help most with transparent parts and with small components, where any whitening of the plastic or a torn-out piece of the mating face is a serious problem.
Always cut in two goes: separate the part with some to spare first and only level the sprue nub close to the part with the second cut. A direct cut in one go stresses the plastic and can damage the part. Turn the flat side of the nippers toward the part and the waste side outward. Do not cut metal or wire, as the jaws do not stand up to that kind of load and will chip.
The tool is not made for cutting metal or wire. Keep out of the reach of children.
