US Helicopters Acrylic paint set

ICM acrylic paint set: American helicopters (6 bottles of 12 ml)

A themed set of acrylic paints from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM, put together for models of American helicopters. The package holds six bottles with a volume of 12 ml. The binder is acrylic and water-thinnable, so the paints are thinned and washed with water.

What the set is for

For long decades American military helicopters carried single-color olive and dark green schemes, to which the dark shades of the interior and the metal tones on unprotected surfaces belong. The olive and green shades predominate in the set, so it covers both the fuselage itself and the supporting surfaces, for which the paints would otherwise be bought one at a time.

Use

• According to the manufacturer the paints are prepared above all for the brush.
• For the airbrush the manufacturer gives a thinning of 40 to 60 percent with water or with ICM acrylic thinner.
• Spray the large single-color areas of a helicopter in thin coats so that no ridges build up.
• It pays to use a primer before painting; the acrylic then covers more evenly.
• Shake the bottle and wash the tools in water right after work.

Who the set is for

For builders of American helicopters who want the shades for one circle of subjects together, and for modelers who prefer acrylic for working without solvents.

Acrylic paints are water-thinnable and undemanding to work with a brush, but even so make sure of ventilation when spraying and protect your airway. Keep the bottles well closed, do not let them freeze and store them out of the reach of children.
