An injection-molded plastic kit of a drag racing funny car in 1:25 scale from the American maker AMT. The parts are laid out on sprues and have to be cut out, cleaned up and glued with modeling cement according to the instructions. The box holds a flip-up body that reveals the tubular frame, and sheets of waterslide decals.
The Funny Car is a class of North American drag racers with a flip-up plastic body over a long tubular chassis and a massive supercharged engine. Here the body in the style of a Plymouth covers an engine with a supercharger, fuel injection and short zoomie exhausts; wide slick tires are typical of these vehicles.
Use thin modeling cement for plastic and a primer. The glossy body of a funny car comes out best with an airbrush and a gloss clear coat; glue the chrome and clear parts with an adhesive that does not fog the surface. Ideally seat the decals on a gloss surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
