A licensed plastic kit of the iconic Imperial TIE fighter, flown in the film Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) by Darth Vader. The model in 1:32 scale from MPC offers a detailed cockpit, clear parts for the weapons, a display stand with a metal rod for an eye-catching presentation and a pilot figure. It is an improved reissue of the classic kit with reworked upper and lower covers.
The TIE (from the English Twin Ion Engine) is a single-seat Imperial fighter from the Star Wars universe. Its hallmark is the two large hexagonal solar panels on the sides of the spherical pilot's cabin. Vader's version differs from the production machines in its curved panels and is among the best-known craft of the whole saga.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, fit the clear parts of the weapons last and protect them from going dull. We recommend evening out the gray plastic with a primer and spraying it with an airbrush; the panels and the cabin can be brought out with a fine wash into the recesses. The stand lets the model be displayed as if in flight.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
