The 1:144 Kaori-X - ROKAF unmanned jet fighter is a 3D printed resin kit from Tori Factory depicting the Korean stealth drone being developed alongside the KF-21 program.
Responsibility details are not available.
This 3D printed resin kit from the South Korean maker Tori Factory captures the Kaori-X unmanned jet fighter in 1:144 scale. Thanks to printing on a 3D printer the parts are fine and, with a smaller parts count, the build is clear, yet it is still a resin kit for more experienced modelers. The box tends to hold clear resin parts, waterslide Cartograf decals and a masking template for easily creating the pattern of the stealth panels.
The Kaori-X is a concept for a Korean unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) linked to the KF-21 program; it drew attention when it appeared in a promotional video. According to the project it is to work in a team with the piloted KF-21 as an escorting loyal wingman, with one KF-21 operating together with several Kaori-X machines.
First wash the uncured resin residue off the printed parts, cut off the print supports and wear respiratory protection while sanding. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For the stealth scheme use the enclosed mask, cover the surfaces with the base color, lay the decals onto a smooth clear-coated surface and pick out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
