A replacement needle chucking nut for the Gaahleri Aventus airbrush, silver version, manufacturer's part number 47378. It is not an airbrush, nor a needle and nozzle set, but a single small part from the rear of the tool.
The chucking nut clamps the needle at the rear of the body, so that the travel of the main lever is carried straight to the needle. It works together with the needle chucking guide, which is sold as a separate part. It is one of the parts released most often during cleaning and when swapping the needle, and that is exactly why a worn thread or damaged clamping can show up on it sooner than on the others. The nut is tightened with care: overtighten it and the needle bends, and then it no longer seals in the nozzle.
For owners of the Gaahleri Aventus airbrush who keep consumable and easily lost parts in stock, and for those whose nut has been damaged or rolled away during a strip-down. A stripped airbrush cannot be put back together without the needle chucking nut.
