A set of flexible foam fillers by the Polish maker Omask intended for the large Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII / Mk.IX kit in 1:24 scale. It is not a model or canopy masks but a practical painting accessory that protects the landing gear bays during spraying.

Use

• The fillers are inserted into the landing gear bays before the lower surfaces of the airframe are sprayed.
• The flexible foam stops paint drifting inside the bays, which tend to be laboriously detailed.
• Once painting is done the fillers are easily taken out without damaging the paint or the details.

The real subject

The Supermarine Spitfire is one of the best-known British fighters of the Second World War. The Mk.VIII and Mk.IX versions with more powerful Merlin engines were a fundamental step in performance and were deployed on a number of fronts.
