Yahu Models 1:72 P-47 C/D early instrument panel is a finished, pre-painted photo-etched instrument panel for the cockpit of an early Thunderbolt, prepared for the Kovozavody Prostejov kit. It is not a kit, and you have to own the model itself.

This is a finished cockpit accessory, not an airplane model. It is not a kit, and you have to own the P-47 model itself. Yahu Models is a Polish manufacturer specializing in pre-painted photo-etched instrument panels: the metal part arrives from the factory already colored and with the dials printed, so it is practically just glued in place of the plastic panel from the kit. This panel is prepared for the early P-47 C/D from Kovozavody Prostejov, a Czech manufacturer with a long tradition in 1:72 kits.
The instrument panel is the most visible thing in the whole cockpit and the first place anyone looks at on a finished model. But in 1:72 scale, painting dozens of tiny dials by hand is practically impossible; the instruments here measure fractions of a millimeter and a brush turns them into nothing but a gray smudge. A finished panel solves that in a few minutes and looks better than anything painted by hand. It also removes what holds modelers up most on classic photo-etched parts: bending, layering and the laborious painting of fine pieces.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, nicknamed the Jug, was the largest and heaviest single-engine fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by a massive radial engine with a turbocharger, it became famous for its exceptional toughness, coming home even when badly damaged, and it was a feared destroyer of ground targets. Mind the version: the early C and early D machines had a high spine, the razorback, and a framed canopy, and only the later D models got the teardrop bubble canopy. This panel belongs to the early, framed version.
