Japanese destroyer Hamakaze 1:700 is a plastic waterline kit from the Aoshima brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit in 1:700 scale from the Japanese brand Aoshima, from the waterline line. This is a reworked mold with a higher level of detail, in which the main guns, the anti-aircraft weapons and the boats are all newly designed. The breakdown remains clear and easy to build.
Hamakaze was a Kagero-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She fought in many areas of the Pacific from the start of the war almost to its end. She was armed with twin gun mounts, torpedo tubes and anti-aircraft guns. The model captures her appearance from the earlier phase of the war.
A waterline model can be set on a base or into a water surface made of acrylic gel. Glue the fine gun barrel and torpedo tube parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Photo-etched railings and aerials will help with the fidelity, and a dark wash plus discreet dry-brushing of the edges will bring the surfaces out. Painting can be done with an airbrush or a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
