Yes, you are reading that correctly, and it is worth keeping an eye on. 1:35 is traditionally the scale of ground vehicles and figures, whereas aircraft are normally built in 1:32, 1:48 or 1:72. In recent years, though, injection-molded aircraft kits have appeared in 1:35 itself, for example the Bf 109 G-6 from Border Model, precisely so that an aircraft can stand in one diorama with tanks, vehicles and figures in 1:35.
