A resin detail set of an exhaust nozzle in the closed position for a model of the F-16C and F-16D fighter in the Block 30/40/50 versions in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. It is not an aircraft model but a replacement part, which takes the place of the plastic nozzle with a faithfully cast part with the correct shape of the petals of the General Electric engine.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter; the Block 30/40/50 versions were powered by a General Electric engine with a characteristic nozzle. The closed (gathered) position of the nozzle matches the state of a shut-down engine on a parked aircraft.
Wash the mold release off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your breathing while sanding. Create the metallic and heat-stressed shades with metallics and tints; stir the pigment that settles to the bottom of metallics in thoroughly and apply them at the end. Check the fit to the kit you are using and to the engine variant.
