A resin detail set from the brand Quickboost (Aires) in 1:48 scale. It contains fishtail-shaped exhausts for the Bell P-39 Airacobra Mk.I fighter. The resin castings have fine bores and replace the coarser plastic parts.
Projecting exhausts are among the prominent details of an airframe. The resin version reads more faithfully and saves laborious drilling of plastic parts.
Separate the castings from the casting blocks, clean them up and glue them on with cyanoacrylate glue. Painting them in burnt metal shades and weathering them lightly works well.
An accessory for a plastic kit, supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
