It replaces the plastic supercharger air intake with a precisely cast resin part with a more faithful shape and a clean inner opening, a detail that draws considerable attention on the long-nosed D-9 version.
The characteristic intake on the side of the engine cowling is one of the most conspicuous features of the D-9 version. A one-piece casting captures it more sharply than the split plastic parts of the kit and saves the work of filling and cleaning up seams.
Separate the part carefully from the casting block, wash off any mold release residue and degrease it. It is glued with cyanoacrylate. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting.
It is a replacement part, not a stand-alone model. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
