Masking stencils for spraying the camouflage onto a model of the Israeli Kfir C.7 in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kfir is an Israeli combat aircraft whose airframe comes from the French Mirage. It is recognized by its delta wing supplemented by small canards at the air intakes, which improve controllability at lower speeds and in maneuvering. The C.7 build belongs to the later ones and was carried with the Israeli Air Force as multirole, that is for both fighter and attack tasks. It is precisely the camouflage schemes that set a model of this type apart most on a shelf.
The package brings masking stencils cut to the camouflage fields of the model in 1:72 scale. In this scale the transitions between the colors are small and cutting tape by hand tends to show; items shaped in advance hold the shape of the fields exactly and identically on both halves of the aircraft.
Finish the build of the airframe, sand the joints and wash the surface, so that the film will hold. Spray the first shade, let it dry properly and only then apply the stencils for the next color. Press the edges down with a blunt tool and spray perpendicular, in thin coats; paint applied all at once will creep under the edge. Take the stencil off while the sprayed paint has only flashed off. Do not forget to mask the cockpit and the front glazing separately, otherwise the spraying will coat them.
For modelers of the Israeli Air Force and of modern combat aircraft who want their camouflage fields sharp and symmetrical. The model, paints and other modeling material are not included in this masking set, unless stated otherwise.
