Masks for the cockpit canopy and for the wheels for a model of the BAE Harrier GR.7 and GR.9 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Harrier GR.7 and GR.9 are British ground-attack aircraft capable of vertical take-off and landing. Their engine thrust is deflected by four rotating nozzles on the sides of the fuselage, so the machine will take off even from a short area. The landing gear has its main legs on the centerline of the fuselage and smaller outrigger legs at the wingtips.
The set holds masks for the cockpit canopy and for the wheels in 1:48 scale. The canopy masks cover the glazed areas so that, after spraying, the frames of the canopy stay sharp and the clear parts are left unmarked. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim, which is a job that comes out badly freehand and shows at once on a model.
Wash the clear canopy before masking and let it dry completely, then press the masks down at the edges so that paint cannot get under them. Spray the frames of the canopy first in the cockpit shade and only then in the external finish, otherwise they will show through from inside. Apply the paint in thin coats and take the masks off shortly after it has dried. On the wheels, paint the tire first and the rim only once it is masked. The manufacturer's instructions give the placing of the individual masks.
The set is for modelers who want sharp canopy frames and cleanly separated wheels on their Harrier without lengthy cutting of tape.
The set supplements a kit, which it does not hold. Paints and glue are not in the package, unless stated otherwise.
