A plastic model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia fighter (with the Battle of Britain theme) in 1:48 scale from Eduard — a Limited Edition with a book.
Responsibility details are not available.
A model of the early version of the legendary British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Ia with the Battle of Britain theme, scale 1:48, from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The premium Limited Edition contains photo-etched parts, painting masks, decals for 11 color schemes and an accompanying book. A kit to be glued and painted.
The Spitfire Mk.I was the first production version of the Spitfire and, together with the Hurricane, formed the backbone of the fighter defense of the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in 1940. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and armed with eight .303 caliber machine guns; it was distinguished by its elegant elliptical wing and excellent agility.
It is worth building the model in subassemblies and testing the fit of the parts dry before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the interior and, if you wish, pick them out with a wash before closing the fuselage. For the best result use a good thin cement for plastic, fine files and, after the primer coat, an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
