A detail accessory from the Czech company Eduard in 1:48 scale, made by direct 3D printing in resin. It is not an aircraft kit but a replacement part — a faithfully rendered engine exhaust nozzle that replaces the plastic nozzle in the F-16I Sufa kit from Great Wall Hobby. The nozzle is one of the visually exposed places on a model and 3D printing offers sharper and deeper detail of the petals and the inner ring than split injection-molded plastic can manage.
Lay down primer on the resin first, otherwise the paint holds badly. Paint the F-16 nozzle with a combination of metallic shades — the inside in darker scorched and titanium tones, the outer petals in a lighter metal. Emphasize the transitions and the heat tinting with fine filters and pigments; a wash into the recesses will pull out the structure of the petals.
For modelers building the F-16I Sufa from Great Wall Hobby who want to lift one of the most visible details of the rear end. Working with 3D printing and cyanoacrylate assumes at least basic experience.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Use a respirator when sanding resin and ventilate.
