This set is NOT a ship model but a photo-etched detail set from Flyhawk, meant for the super-detailing of the plastic model of the British battleship Queen Elizabeth in 1:350 scale. It is aimed at experienced modelers who want to refine the base kit markedly.
HMS Queen Elizabeth was the lead ship of the class of the same name of fast battleships of the Royal Navy, armed with 381 mm guns. The ships of this class were among the key units of the British fleet and served in both world wars.
Photo-etched sets of this kind generally replace coarse plastic features with finer metal parts, such as railings, ladders, walkways and parts of the superstructure. The parts are broken out of the fret, bent along the engraved lines and glued with cyanoacrylate glue; a primer for metal is recommended before painting.
This is an additional set, not a complete model. The base ship kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
