Madworks The Hook Light Line Engraver 0.3 mm

A hooked scriber (an engraving tool) with a cutting edge 0.3 mm wide from the Light line of the Taiwanese manufacturer Madworks. It is a lightened variant without the hard DLC surface and with a shorter body, thanks to which it is more affordable and suits beginning modelers as well. The edge has the shape of a hook and works by being pulled toward you, so it cleanly deepens or restores an existing panel line without throwing up coarse ridges of material.

Use

• Engraving and deepening panel lines on plastic (ABS, PVC), resin and epoxy models.
• Working by pulling toward you along guide tape or a template for a straight line.
• Restoring details that were lost after sanding or after a coat of primer.
• It is fitted into a handle with a standard chuck (for example a knife handle for modeling blades).

Who it is for

For modelers building science fiction robots, aircraft, vehicles and figures who want sharp, clean engraved lines. For its ratio of price to result the Light line is a good entry tool.

The scriber is very sharp, so work carefully and guide the cut away from your body. Keep out of the reach of children.
