The set reproduces the special color finish of the Yamaha YZR-M1 motorcycle that the works team used for the United States Grand Prix in the 2006 MotoGP world championship season. It serves to finish a plastic model of the motorcycle into this striking one-off livery.
The Yamaha YZR-M1 was a works MotoGP class prototype with an inline four-cylinder engine; in 2006 the class ran engines of 990 cc. For the home Grand Prix in the United States the team prepared a special color scheme, which differed from the standard livery of the season and became prized by collectors.
Apply the decals to the gloss painted surface of the fairing, ideally over a layer of clear coat. A softener and setting solution will help the decals adhere to the rounded shapes of the fairing and the tank. Finally go over the parts with clear coat to even them out and protect them.
This is a standalone decal set. The model, paints and clear coat are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
